Busan (South Korea)

It handled 13.30 million TEUs in 2012 that improved to 15.73 million TEUs in 2016. It is important to mention that Jebel Ali port is the most used harbor by the US Navy outside the United States.

 

Tianjin (China)

Tianjin Port was first applied in the first century BC but it was developed in the 17th century AD under the reign of the Tang Dynasty. Tianjin port is the maritime gateway to Beijing through various waterways. It handled 12.3 million TEUs in 2012 which improved to 14.49 million TEUs in 2016.
