Export of India to Russia via Iran; The India-Russia-Iran corridor neutralizes the effect of sanctions

The North-South International Corridor is a multiple network of sea, rail and road transit routes between India, Russia, Iran, Europe and Central Asia. The 7,200 Kilometre route is set to increase trade links between Mumbai, Moscow, Tehran, Baku, Bandar Abbas, Astara and Bandar Anzali.

It is expected that with the full operation of this international corridor, 20 to 30 million tons of goods will be transported annually through it. This new corridor will reduce the arrival time of goods from India to Russia by 62%, and using it will reduce the time it takes to ship goods from India to Russia from 38 days to 14 – 16 days.
